The topic at hand involves PC GPUs being brought up, and you speaking on the experiences of PC games. You were quick to talk about the experience PC gamers have, yet you want to drop it when your first hand experience with PC gaming is questioned, that says enough....smiley time

So true the only difference between a 7790 (closest to a X1 gpu) and a 7870 (closest to a PS4 gpu) is framerates in games. As long as both cards can get 30fps on 1080p which i think is the goal of most devs both gpu's are capable. Even if the X1 has to go to 900p on tv's it will not be a noticeable difference in the end.

I'm a definitely an Xbox fan. I've had my best gaming experiences on Xbox over the last decade. I'm also a gamer in general and I enjoy games on other platforms.

Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

2) this isn't really a GPU upclock. It's just giving back what they originally locked out. not a bump. Conversely, by doing this, it will affect the speed of the apps/multitasking that they are taking away if they do this more than likely

4) wouldn't shock me to see some DF fukkery when the comparisons between games on both systems drop. And if MS tries some payola shananigans, they will be ripped accordingly

Anywayz, after reading the entire article, the meat of the article is once again not being discussed.

And to put it into terms that a 3cept could understand, and I'm not spinning anything here.
What the article is essentially saying is the Xbox One is designed to give off better graphics, and the approach that is being taken is the exact same approach that Guerilla Games aka Makers of Killzone Shadow Fall have taken
Those guys said that for the online Mulitplayer it was better if they didn't do 60fps so they can retain some of the graphical effects they would have otherwise had to nix.
The article is saying the XB1 is built so that it can take advantage of what Guerilla did, without forcing developers to settle like Guerilla did
They agree with there logic, and they built the system to be able to take better advantage of a situation like that by having "stuff" built into the XB1 that will render a lower quality image into a higher quality image with minimal loss

And thats just the beginning. Once Tiled Resources gets factored in next year? I seriously believe PS4 games will pale in comparison. Its already been confirmed that Halo 5 will be 1080p/60fps
Of course, seeing is believing. And Guerilla Games, Makers of KZ:SF have already been caught pulling a Polyphony aka going to a Microsoft team and asking "How you do that" not even believing they was actually getting those graphics out of an XB1 Don't believe me?
