Microsoft's Project X Cloud and game streaming in general is the future.

The time is now. People dismissing streaming games and saying all the reasons for why it won't work will be left behind. Having tried all the popular ones in the past(Onlive, PS Now and recently Shadow), I can say without a shadow of doubt(Pun not intended) that the latency problem for the most part will be a thing of the past to the majority of people.

I recently tried out Shadow's streaming service which basically streams a full fledged, high end gaming PC to you over the internet and I can't say I wasn't impressed. It worked flawlessly with no discernible input lag or latency and all you need is decent internet(I have 150 Mbp/s Down/Up). I've even played a few games of Apex legends on there with no problems. Best of all is the PC that's streaming to you comes with 1 gigabit internet so when you use it, you can download games to that machine extremely fast. Again, I play on a 144hz G sync monitor and testing between the two obviously the g sync locally looks better and is smooth but the streamed version is fine. I played a few games of Apex legends through this with no issues.

Trust me, it works as advertised here. The only problem I had was with my phone but that must be my phone because my work laptop had no problem in the same environment.

I'm sure later this year or next year this will be MUCH more antiquated on consoles especially on Xbox.

2 generations from now maybe :manny:
But for the PS5 I just want the PS4 with more power and improvements.

Agreed.

And PS Now was a long term investment. Whenever game streaming is ready to take over, Sony will be fine and ready as well since they already have their own game streaming service too.

Nah, not 2 generations from now. I'm telling you. It works right now. I have 100 Mbp/s (actually I upgraded to 150MBp/s)internet. I used it, it works. it streams games to my PC and it works just as if I had it locally. I connected to a NY server(I'm in NJ). It's not some super high end shyt that only a few people can try. Hell PS Now does it already.

I'm not saying this will replace local technology but that it can supplement it. I played RE2, Apex Legends and Crash on a work laptop over the internet and it played as if it was running on the machine and I'm in the hood. This isn't some tech only in California shyt available to silicon valley. All I'm saying is this will be the Netflix of games just like how today you can buy your movies or stream em. Gaming will be the same way. MSFT already is said to be making a small low powered box just for streaming games.

I'm not questioning that it works. I just don't think the gaming industry is ready to shift towards a strictly Netflix type model for distribution. Worldwide net speeds are a factor too.

Isn't this the same thread I made yesterday basically :wtf:

Sony realizes what's good, and you're Sony. Nobody wanna here about a PC you may or may not really have. We know what you rep and yet now it's like...why rep that outdated gaming company :banderas:

What are you talking about? :dahell: This has nothing to do with turning gaming into cell phones. Did you even read the OP or watch any video? This is about being able to play games directly from streaming it without running it locally. This doesn't have to do anything with PC's specifically.

This is definitely going to be the future. This is something hotel rooms used to have with Nintendo. You could pay a fee to play Mario 64 or Mario Kart to stream on your tv.

The same one that bought a streaming cloud based game company 6 years ago and has had games streaming to all popular devices for years now?

I think they'll be ok.

What I'm saying is if this technology is not benefiting people who use personal computers then it will not be a hit on gaming consoles you sad bum

It's not about something being a "HIT".

It's like saying 15 years ago "downloading games over the internet? You mean you gotta wait to play the game even after I bought it from the store? That shyt won't be a hit"

This is essentially what you're saying right now your slow ass

Nikka is you high?:dwillhuh: The fukk is this gibberish you're typing? This nikka speaking in parables and shyt.

Earth to Mowgli, this isn't about MOVING units or whatever, it's a feature, a use that can be utilized. Just like you can listen to music while playing games, it's not something nikkas going to go out and buy a system for but when it's time for system wars, it's a bullet point doggy.

Holla.
