Microsoft's vaunted "Power of the Cloud" (Azure) can also be used for PS4 Exclusives

This is Phil Spencer's response to someone being concerned that Titanfall 2 won't be able to use Azure now that it's mulitplatform. Pretty much any company who wants to use it can, including any PS4 exclusive game.

Shouldn't be too surprising, Satya Nadella and Microsoft are trying to cake off the Azure cloud service so barring potential customers just because they're competitors isn't smart business. Apple's iCloud service uses both Azure and Amazon Cloud for example.

Though it does makes the Xbox "Infinite Power of the Cloud" marketing campaign look funny in retrospect.

the power of the cloud marketing was under different leadership. why do people still talk about it like they still push that?
