When questioned by Examiner about the possibility of Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare on PS4 and PS3, Lindley hinted that a PS4 and PS3 reveal could be incoming.

"We haven’t announced any plans yet for any additional platforms outside of the PC, but the way I typically answer that question is we want to get this game in the hands of as many people as possible," said Lindley.

I think the question is why doesn't it run in 1080p. And the answer is because the devs didn't want it to.

I'm implying that devs make that decision based on what they think is best for the individual game. For all the talk of 1080p 60fps, still not one ps4 game does that reliably. It seems like Sony is pushing devs for visuals over performance while Microsoft is letting them make that decision on their own.
