I enjoy games..thats what I am trying to say, I buy systems to enjoy..you have some die hard people who catch feelings over the console wars argument..my whole intention was to show dude from a different standpoint what is going on in the industry but he isnt seeing it..
If you were truly unbiased and just a gamer that wants to play games you'd know that most of these online arguments/fluff pieces rarely have any effect on the success of the consoles. You also wouldn't care about which sales more, and you would be concerned with talking about full information instead of the lopsided shyt going on in here.

They are ok. Somebody always sellls more, that doesn't mean the other people failed. Wii sold the most units last gen, does that mean 360 and ps3 were failures?

i think for the most part this is what people do when they have to rationalize why not to buy a certain brand of something. most people don't have almost $1000 to blow on both these consoles.
I own an Xbox One. I want to see it do just as well as the PS4 because that's more games for me but the reality is from the jump the console was mismanaged and we're starting to see the signs of the shytty decisions Microsoft made with it.
I know the fanboys don't want to admit it but Kinect has irreparably damaged this platform to the point that even if they removed it from the box and dropped the price $100 its still inferior hardware. they had to cut corners to pack it in and used lesser hardware to drop expenses. the thing is many people don't want Kinect and the apologist and defenders will try to sell you on how its revolutionary tech but the truth it more inline with the Nintendo Wii U gamepad. an awkward piece of tech that most developers struggle to do anything worthwhile with. it it was sold separately the Xbox One would have been better for it. the people that wanted it could still have it and the brand wouldn't be pulled down by it.
for the record i probably still would have bought a Kinect if it was separate. i like the voice commands but i don't think it was worth what it cost them to pack it in. Kinect has pretty much doomed them to a #2 finish this generation.

I'm insane and irrational for saying Xbox is doing fine. But everbody else is unbiased and intellegent for asserting that the Xbox is doomed for failure 3 months into its life.

Numbers wise and Common sense wise the xbox is not doing so well... Theyve backtracked on alot of things. hurt the core gamers. played themselves out trying to market to a casual crowd. secret backdoor dealings trying to screw the core gamers over with league passes, no reselling games, only online play, no trading.. drm. always on kinect and plugged in. mandatory games installing to the hard drive. no way of swapping the hdd..,
Ever since that idiot was coming out his mouth sideways just pissing people off about the rumors with the xbox one, it all turned out to be true. they failed at the E3. they was underwhelming and undersold themselves trying to make a quick buck off the casual crowd chasing the wii's success. look at them now, their reputation is ruined. They are losing any good will that's came from the core gamers, theyre numbers are slowing down alot. If the games coming out the gate doesnt impress people then they will fail more.

Xbox will be fine... and MS has money... I doubt they will scrap their videogame wing if they do subpar. It has it's place and I'm sure they will have exclusives that will keep them relevant. They also have hardcore fans that are in denial right now and will continue to be denial due to some kinda weird brand loyalty. The price drop will definitely help them recoup their losses... but the point is to turn a major profit... which I still think they will... but sony is taking this Gen.... They took last gen whether people wanna admit it or not and videogames and movies are what is keeping Sony alive.... they have to take this Gen..so they will. What's good about Sony is that they've literally addressed every single problem that consumers had with ps3 and fixed it. They actually listened and it's paying off.
