  • Seems my favorite activites are less exciting than they used to be
  • My idea of a good night is either staying in, or being somewhere with few / no crowds
  • If we walk into a spot and the music blaring, especially top 40, do a 180 and walk back out
  • Have to exercise financial discipline otherwise I waste money on little expenses that add up
  • Conversations with a new dating app match feel like pulling teeth....I can't keep having these dumb talking stages that lead nowhere

Yeah clubs/bar experience is trash. I damn they’re always felt this way but now it’s unbearable. Went to something like that last night and dipped out roughly around the same time. Like I got to talk to some people I knew, I wasn’t really trying to mingle around a large group of people I didn’t know I also feel like u can’t have a good convo in those kind of settings for the most part, I don’t got much to add from that.

Even in my college days, clubbing was just okay because I’d get bored quickly. I liked theme bars better. Arcade bars or boardgame pubs.

I’m a big kid so the stuff I do is still very similar to the stuff I did growing up. We went to do the VR at the mall the other day. shyt was SO much fun. Lol

If anything, I kinda feel like I’m able to do more fun stuff now than I could do growing up. Jet skis, snorkeling, wine vineyards, hot tubs, hiking or just inviting friends to cons thru. We’ll cook a bunch of appetizers (spinach artichoke dip, meatballs, veggie tray, fruit tray, nachos, mini spanokopitas, wings) and then be up playing board games and card games until like 4am.

Grown ass adults running campaigns on Battlefield.

I’ve switched to daytime activities since my late 20s, I partied a lot starting at 17 and was over it by 28 but still enjoy good music and dancing. I all but quit drinking so I tend to stay away from places where that’s a predominant element.

Still a brunch betch though

Something about out being right at the point where I've had more adult years in my life than childhood. Like, damn, I'm old enough to have an 18 year old.

Something about realizing I've been a Kanye stan for 20 years.

Something about being called sir without a shred of irony. Like, not dude or bruh or nikka etc. If I'm out in public, I'm a whole sir.

It's more but I like mid 30s. I have the same problems but a whole different outlook on dealing with it.
