I will say tho, from what I've seen in Runway and now with Midjourney's first take on video... I think Midjourney's will be better for animated/illustration style of work.
Runway was ok with it, but it would have a lot of mishaps just because it didn't look right when it came to that kind of art style. I only messed with the "animate" option in MJ on some older images that I already had and it looked dope, but the resolution is too low to really use in a project that's going to be produced professionally at this point.
When they come out with higher resolutions I can see them becoming the go-to for animating illustrations than Runway.

I just think with what YouTube did for interviews (anybody can do it), what Twitter did for breaking news (anybody can do it) and what streaming did for actors/actresses, it feels like this AI animation stuff can one day have a similar impact for comic, webtoon, and manga creators.
Like, right now and for decades there’s a shyt ton of untapped creative geniuses who are blocked off because they can’t draw a stick figure worth a cotdamn, nor have the finances to hire the type of team needed to illustrate their ideas.
