Why don't you call the cruise line yourself? I say get one anyways to avoid issues. End up getting off the boat to go sightseeing and they don't let you back in and all of a sudden you stuck in a foreign land with some unfamiliar amigos.

They tell you 6-8 weeks, but it generally doesn't take that long unless they found something weird in your background. When I first applied for mine, it took about 2-3 weeks, if that.
