People Like what they like bruh. And lot of the new nikkas wasnt around to hear Prime Bone thugs Do or Die or Triple Six. The only annoying thing is when they act like the shyt is SO fire when all they did was take a piece of somebody style frm years ago

Those of us born after 85 grew up in the Limewire era so we grew up on Dipset, Triple 6 mafia , on top of our local influences. This is why you see the fusion nowadays in the music. We didnt just grow up listening to local acts like cats born in the 70s. With the internet we were kids who were anle to download tons of underground albums on top of having access to message boards and chat rooms where we talked to people from all regions and shared music.

I remember posting on sites like IAP TV and downsouth.com and getting access to underground stuff from all over.

I feel like all 3 members are on the same level and bring something unique to the table. Quavo is a special talent when it comes to his voice, hooks. Whenever they freestyle on the radio, he always outshines the rest of the crew. Offset is a mix of both Quavo and Takeoff and seems to spit them real "Ima show you this pain" bars. Takeoff is the most consistent MC in the group, lyrically, has great flows and stays in his lane but very monotone.

I really don't wanna see them break up but it would be cool if we got side projects from each of them possibly showing more of they're creative side. As for the album its a solid 3.5/5. It doesn't help I heard damn near half of the album before it fully came out. The biggest standout for me is the evolution of Quavo of how he's using his voice as an instrument giving the songs a more hypnotic feeling. You can tell Travis Scott somewhat is an inspiration.

But its a cool album

My only complaint is that the second half is heavily Travis Scott influenced

Other than that I'm happy with the album, it really showcases all of their individual strengths without one overpowering the other. Quavo shines the most on hooks and charisma, Offset gives you raw in your face lyrics, and Takeoff gives you consistent bars and flows. Plus it really gives you an Atlanta feel, like this album is what I picture the new Atlanta culture to look like(and yes I know that their not from Atlanta but:yeshrug:)
