Every city in this country has a homeless crisis. If we cannot take care of our own homeless, even migrantless cities will run out of resources, cause migrants are inherently homeless people and use the same resources.

I am speaking on NY City's problem. You think the city leaders of New York are worried about Mississippi and Iowa's problems. Hell, both of those are red states, so you know they do not care about them.

The true solution to the problem is not one any local government has power over. That solution is to tighten up the border, something that many Democrats are unwilling to do. Even mentioning something like a wall will cause conniptions among many Democratic true believers, even though Biden is supporting more funding for the effort. So yea, outside of revolking their sanctuary city status and moving the people somewhere else, there is nothing really any local government can do about this but participate in form of illegal immigrant hot potato.

You want to help push towards the solution, vote for politicians that agree with drastically limiting the border crossings into the US.

Give them a choice in the matter. Offer them a ticket to less populated portions of the US or offer them a ticket back to their home country. I am pretty sure most will choose the first option if those are the only two choices.
