Migration to Europe Is Down Sharply. So Is It Still a ‘Crisis’?

So I've been thinking about this issue lately.......about why numerous people are migrating to Western Civilized countries in Europe and the United States / Canada. Then I remembered the root cause of immigrants seeking refuge in western civilized countries, is because our governments exploited theirs. Leaving their country unstable, while extracting cash crop resources for virtually nothing.....
No shyt people are going to try to leave an unstable environment were inequality, unemployment and crime persist because of corrupt regimes.
Maybe if we actually gave back some of their resources we stole / used to enrich this country, then conflicts surrounding inequity and instability wouldn't plague many vulnerable developing, low income countries.....

I definitely prefer foreign aide to a lax immigration policy. However I prefer defending the boarders to providing more foreign aide.

I prefer not raping countries of all their resources then complaining about why they show up at our doorstep looking to see what we did with it.

LOL. No. The second quote is in response to the outright abolishment of ICE with no solution to the border or immigration situation.
And what's wrong with treating countries fairly and not forcing them to abandon their homeland for basic needs?

Hmm. Maybe I did NOT add enough NUANCE.
ICE shouldn't exist, it should've never existed. Border Patrol should only operate at the physical borders.
Wealthy countries especially ones that took advantage of their neighbors should be funding and stabilizing them in my opinion.

is stop and frisk still an everyday issue? Or did the NYPD scale back?

Supposedly stop and frisk was deemed unconstitutional and stopped by the NYPD. They say such stops has dropped but who knows.

There's still profiling obviously but I don't see stop and frisk tactics.
At the same time if you're flamed up and there's shootings going on there's task force around so ehh. Hard to tell if someone is actually wanted or whatnot.
That said regular cops don't bother people around here from what I see

Good. I'm glad you've come around. Hopefully you will join us in supporting candidates that will actually solve the problem by treating our neighbors as neighbors and not resources to plunder with impunity.
