BTW, the comment section there is hilarious. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, people will still cling to nostalgic "conventional" thinking

Read the article. :birdman:

I just read the article and I can't vibe with it talking about extra bases taken how bout Cabrera excelled in all hitting fields and is doing something no one else has done in a long time. To be the best AVG. guy, the best HR hitter, and the best at driving in runs in you league i'm sorry that makes you the MVP in my eyes. Throw all that other bullshyt in the bushes.

I'm sorry I will never accept the fact that you can judge players by punching in numbers on a calculator I just can't:manny:. Why do teams even have scouts anymore just type all the guys stats in a computer and make your decision.

That's not how sabermetricians work.

...unless those numbers are HRs, batting average and RBIs, right?

Correct :troll:. Listen I have a different philosphy you can look at it as being ignorant and thats fine with me I find RBI's and HR's to be important stats that just can't be brushed over not everyone has the ability to square up the ball and put it out of a ballpark at a high rate. Not every player has that focus and mental toughness to drive in a run when runners are in scoring position.

Just stop. You're not making yourself look good here. By your logic Adamn Dun would be a better player than Trout because he hits more HRs.

That's a stretch see what I'm saying I don't need numbers to realize Trout is leaps and bounds better then Dunn whos straight :trash:. I don't really give a fukk if I make myself look good I'm combfortable in my baseball knowledge whether you guys throw my opinions in the bushes or not.
