MIKE influenced Earl, not the other way round.

MIKE said that when he met Earl, Earl became his mentor and was his "favorite rapper" before that. Dude dropped 5-6 years after Earl first did, and said that Earl guided him on how to make music and how to express himself as an MC. He always talked about how he learned everything from Earl, even on how to carry himself as a black man in the country.

He's Earl's son.

That may be the case but Earl's new music since Some Rap Songs sounds very similar to MIKE's production style tho

Who knows. Just going by what dude said himself.

If he's saying Earl taught him and guided the way he raps, and then they both start using the same sh*t and style, just looks like Earl gave him a style to run with that he uses too now. Wouldn't be the first time we've seen that in Hip Hop.
