Publicly? Yes. Say nothing even when saying something. Odell went OFF yesterday he didn't to be checked. He could've simply flipped the question into something positive like "it's good to see him having fun out there. He's a young guy he'll get it together in time"
Eli's a 10+ year vet with 2 Super Bowl wins, he can take a little 'criticism' from outside the locker room. He knows all that goes away with a few W's.
Now explain to me how a QB publicly criticizing his star WR, particularly that homotional WR will help the Giants.
we don't know what they've said behind closed doors or whether it's worked, but Eli, at least in this town, is being treated like the boyfriend who won't check his girl acting out in public. McAdoo gets a little heat, but when Coughlin was there last year, Mike destroyed him for not doing anything since Coughlin built his whole rep off taking no shyt. If I was Eli I woulda said what he said a long time ago cuz he's taking bullets for Odell's fukkery unnecessarily. Odell is an amazing talent, but there's a difference between him and say, someone like Antonio Brown. The second he saw that shyt was starting to affect Tomlin and the Steelers, he fell back a bit. Odell hasn't, and while I personally don't give a fukk what he does on the field, clearly it's annoying his squad so something has to give.
