Greed and arrogance will be their downfall. Dont know how long it'll take, but it will happen.

Goodell is the worst commish in sports amd its not even talked about.

People are kinda clownish with the downfall talk.

The NFL will never fall, the game of football on it's own is the most popular sport in America, just look at college or HS for that.

But the reality that it may see a decline in support, but it's so far ahead of every other sport than it'll never truly fall, unless they actually do make it flag football, only way

I agree people are way too brainwashed or scared off by the league Mike doesnt give a fukk..The bottom line is the product on the field has gone to shyt and people want to ignore it..Gamblings the only thing keeping me semi interested in the league at this point which is the main reason the sports so popular to begin with..

Do you have a team?

To be fair its pretty petty the nfl taking his show name away after all these years, these dudes are on a power trip lately and are also "c*nts" who run the league

Oh I agree it is, but that's business.

That happens all the time with naming rights, it's not like WFAN couldn't afford to pay up for the rights if it meant that much to them.

I just can't feel bad for one gigantic business taking advantage of another gigantic business

Football only became the most popular sport in the mid 80's to act like it can NEVER lose popualrity is foolish and short sighted

It will take a decade or so but it will drop becaus of how dangeorus we know the sport now so less and less kids will play,it will go the way of boxing where you still will have poor people playing it and it wont go away but enough great athletes will go to other sports that it will be severly watered down

Nah this won't happen for one simple reason: limited carrying capacity for the other sports. At the pro level, where are all the guys who are athletic enough to be pro football players but don't make NBA, NHL, & MLB rosters going to go? There's over 1500 men total who are on active NFL rosters on an annual basis, there won't be room for those guys to be pro athletes in the other 3 major leagues, and if they did make the cuts of the other leagues, what of the guys who are already in those leagues that they now displace? And this is the same for little leagues, high school, & college. All the players on the football team can't just be given spots on the other teams, and they'll still want to play a sport because they're athletes. So unless the other three leagues decide to add about 10 teams each in anticipation of the death of football, the NFL, football, and all leagues from youth to college will survive. Due to reactionary parents who are "just now recognizing the dangers of the sport" (which is a load of bull, btw, many parents have always been concerned with football as it pertains to their child's health) it may ebb and flow as far as participation may go for a few years, but it will normalize as things tend to do once the mass hysteria dies down.

Fantasy sports and gambling alone will keep the NFL the premier league for as long as i`ll be alive.

NFL is just bettter suited for American culture, face it. There are only 16 games, so the fan only has to watch once a week. It is best suited for advertisters as there are much more breaks in the game and the history of the game has a hold of the fans in a deep way.

Add to that the spectacle of the Super Bowl, it's just delusional to think the NFL will ever have a "downfall". I never said it couldn't lose popularity though. It can lose popularity by 15% and still be crushing other sports leagues.

And if you want to bring up danger, boxing, race car driving and UFC are plenty dangerous. I get the idea of parents not letting their kids play the game though, I can see it losing some popularity due to that.

Also, I can't see anything overcoming the sport. I think MLB, NHL and NBA are all tapped out at this point, I don't think they'll get bigger than they are, just can't see it happen.

Mike's talking about the Sunday night song sung by Carrie Underwood. And that Thursday night song is probably the worse sports intro I've ever, ever heard (it's like it came straight from the Disney Channel, how dafuq that's supposed to hype you up for a football game? Oh that's right, it goes hand in hand with the powder-puff crap Goodell is pushing to the fans) and that Hindu broad looks like she produces some funky ass smells upon reaching the point of perspiration :lolbron:

Good points by Mike. The amount of commercials are way too much. Prime time games are becoming unbearable. The NFL is gonna find out that there's a line to this shyt and people will stop watching.
