That doesn’t mean anything. If Peter has no knowledge of baseball in this city, the show will suffer and he couldn’t survive. No one is saying he can’t like or prefer other things. Those are bonuses. Knowing baseball is a prerequisite in NYC. It’s like saying you could do sports talk radio in Dallas and not have to know football.

your proving my point

did you hear when Kay quizzed Peter on all the retired yankee numbers
i think Peter only got 2 right outta all them ( Kay seemed literally pissed off )
and to make things even worst Peter laughed it off like he didn't give a shyt about not knowing all them yankees greats... and i can only assume an older 1st & formost baseball fan would take that as the ultimate disrespect

:mindblown:
again
that just one example thats proving my point

It’s not Peter’s show though.

Did they explain why Peter is on the show? I agree with Mad Dog; Afternoon drive should be no more than 2 people.

they fill in, but that doesn't mean they want that to be a permanent thing. Other people fill in for Mike too. Kim Jones is one of them, and that was who Chernoff originally wanted for the female host of the afternoon drive

:mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

**if joe & evan didnt want the mid day**
THEN WHY DID MIKE SAY LIKE EVERY OTHER DAY HE ROOTING FOR THEM TO GET HIS SLOT

breh, it dosnt make sense - if they told management they wasnt interested
mike would have never said shyt

It didn't matter what Mike wanted because he had no input in the decision. They never approached him.

This shyt is a business. If you ain’t getting ratings then :yeshrug:

From that standpoint I agree and I have no issue with them hiring back Mike and getting rid of CMB because the show's awful... but if you look at it from their perspective they do have a point.

You put together a team of three people who have never worked together in any capacity, have zero chemistry and give them 3 months to figure it out. Those guys were put in a really impossible spot.

Mike should've went to Sirius with Dog. They don't say why he rejected their offer but obvious guess is his ego.

He probably thought peolpe would see him as a second fiddle to Russo, he took less money to go back to WFAN, how much did Sirius offer?

Sirius pays their guys nothing, plus he was only gonna work a 3 day week(a Sunday show and a Monday/Friday show with Dog).

As someone said this really should’ve been Kellermans role but his contract and the optics of him leaving ESPN again were probably why it didn’t work out.

Dog kinda spoke on it; he probably thought Sirius and/or others would back up a Brinks truck for him, and Dog said that when you make the kind of paper he was getting at FAN and you been there for a minute, you can't leave and expect everyone else to pay you what you was getting. That's a bad miscalculation in a big spot, Mikey....

Yeah, Dog said when his original Sirius contract expired he had the same thought process but came back to reality quick when the money wasn't out there. Said the main reason he took that MLB network side gig was to make up the money he lost on the pay cut from Sirius.

Mike can probably do the same if he wants. He has Dog at MLBNetwork, he did some cameos on NFLNetwork and is cool with Peter Schrager over there, still has the Bill Simmons link at the ringer, etc.. wouldn't be hard for him to add something on the side.

The thing some people have trouble understanding is that when people, regular folk I mean say "I don't give a fukk" nine times out of ten they are lying. Mike is different. He TRULY does not give a single fukk about what anyone in the media, columnists or even his own station are going to be saying. Yeah, he'll mention them, possibly.. just to shyt on them but that's about it :mjlol:
