How can Mike Jones have a gripe when "Still Tippin" uses this sample:

Does Mike Jones own the rights to this South German Philharmonic Orchestra piece?

The NLE joint just samples this same recording, uses additional parts that "Still Tippin" didn't use... I get it that NLE chose this sample in the first place all due to "Still Tippin".... but... as the late great Guru said "Rap is an art, you can't own no loops"

So as long as NLE's team cleared this William Tell Overture sample, they're gucci.... never even had to call Mike Jones about it... Warner owns "Still Tippin" anyway... and NLE is signed to Warner!

not true. If NLE used the original sample it would be, but he sampled the Mike Jones song. So he gotta give everybody a cut.

I'm not a big fan of what sampling represents, but this is such a clever sample that its like making a brand new song.
