Tirico will tell you he is an Italian guy from Queens, raised by a single mother, Maria.

Those questions stem from a 1991 profile of him in The Post-Standard of Syracuse, N.Y., when he was just starting his career. In that article, Tirico said he wasn’t sure if he was black.

Just from reading the OP. I'm guessing his mom Maria is Italian and he never met his father. Who knows what his mom told him about the man who got her pregnant. He's clearly Black though. He's probably been making all types of excuses to avoid taking 23andme ancestry test.

Yeah his mom stepped out on her Italian husband to satisfy her black dude cravings and ended up pregnant.
