Bengals owner Mike Brown, the son of team founder Paul Brown, has been so heavily involved in running the team that Mike Brown paid himself a $1 million General Manager bonus from 1991 through at least 2009. In the future, any such bonus could be going to someone else.

Mike Tomlin has 2 SB appearances with 1 win and is winning 65% of his games over 6 years....Yet Fisher is considered a better coach than him by the general media with a barely 500 record and 5 trips to the offs in 20 years.....Oh yeah...a losing record in the offs as well....But Tomlin is on the hot seat and Fisher is looked at as a savior......dikk Wolf couldn't script this shyt any better

Tomlin isn't on thin ice at all. If I had to guess I would say that as of right now he is pretty much guaranteed his job through next season (even if he does shyt the bed this year and next).

He is however coming off of his two worst seasons as head coach and even though 8-8 back to back seasons isn't necessarily THAT bad, it's not going to fly for long with a demanding fan base like Pittsburgh.

Tomlin needs to win 10 or more games this season and he will lock himself in for another 3+ years after that IMO.

The main problem is the defense sucks and it won't be better until lebeau retires which he prolly won't until he strokes out or dies since he pretty much has a lifetime contract. His defensive scheme is so fukking played and every team takes advantage of it and shyt is sad to watch. I can't wait for the day when we stop giving 7 yard cushions to everyone and let them dink and dunk down the field at will.

Also our o-line situation is so fukked up. How can a team have such bad luck drafting linemen with top picks that seemingly never pan out? In 10 years when Ben is the youngest QB to be diagnosed with CTE people are gonna look back and realize how horrible our line was for nearly his whole career.

Tomlin is just aight with me though. I think dude is cool as fukk and players love him but his cliche presser vocab is grating and I'm tired of hearing about our play being unacceptable and him unleashing hell and nothing ever being done. And dead all that "the bengals kept marvin for so long" talk cause everyone knows they shoulda fired him years ago but they are such an incompetent franchise they could never pull the trigger.
