naw bruh Im a Tomlin fan. Im just hoping he can coach Steelers as long as he can.I root for him more then the steelers (yes im bias)

I'm going to respond and then actually look at the other responses in the thread. First off, this team is not very good. The offensive line is trash, it's very young and has high draft picks on it but they have been busts for the most part while also being hit very hard by injuries. The running backs can't get any yardage because of it and the passing game also suffers because of it. The receivers are young and Brown is playing his first season as the "number one" and there really isn't a number two because neither Cotchery or Sanders should be in that role. The defense is all fukked up outside of the linebacking core, defensive line (the major focal point in our defensive scheme) is in disarray outside of Cameron Heward and he just started playing up to potential. The defensive backs are straight garbage and have been like that for a LOOOONG time it just got masked because of the defensive schemes we run.

So with that said no Tomlin won't be on the hot seat next season but he will be on there the following season. The person who should be on the hot seat is Kevin Colbert who stopped doing what the Steelers have always done and started paying players who didn't deserve the contracts and is now constantly restructuring them and leaving absolutely no money to sign any type of quality free agents. Pittsburgh never signs high profile free agents but they find players who can get the job done, Colbert doesn't leave anything on the table outside of money for draft picks and lately we have sucked with that also. It's not Tomlins fault that our record is what it is, it's the personnel that we have, we have only lost one game by more than 10 points and that was to New England a team that always kills us. It's funny as hell that people call us delusional fans but as soon as something like this happens everyone from the outside thinks our coach should be fired, even y'all know the Steelers shouldn't be losing games like this. Glad to see y'all recognize the greatness of this franchise.

The secondary maybe. But the front 7 is very young, especially when Keisel and Woodley are hurt which they usually are. We're starting guys like Cam Heyward, Steve McClendon, Ziggy Hood, Al Woods, Jarvis Jones, Jason Worilds, Vince Williams .. That's not old or slow.. just.. not developed and arguably untalented

But the secondary with Ike Taylor, Willie Gay, Troy Polamalu, and Ryan Clark? Old? Yes. Slow? Not really, but slowing down, yes...

Because that's what EVERYONE says on tv. The starting linebakers and defensive line (now) are all under the age of 30, the defensive backs are old and slowing down but they have been garbage for years, it's just now that people are taking notice because we can't get any pressure on the QB and that's how our schemes work. Outside of Troy the defensive backs have always been wack, we just look good because we play garbage qb's A LOT. Go and look at the past five years and see what the stats look like when we play elite QB's...we get STOMPED. That's the reason Brady has owned us ever since he came in the league.

In fantasy football this year i drafted the steelers defense because they had a rep for being a top defense. Man they aint get no sacks, no interceptions i was like WTF is going on with these fools..You're probably right tho.

Tomlin can't overcome the flabby and sickness of that Steelers defense. It's a GM problem not replacing the old guard and missing on some picks than it is a Tomlin problem.
