I'm torn of which one it actually is.

I remember being a fan of Vick during his Atlanta days. His second year in the league he was incredible. He didnt put up huge numbers, but still was impressive. 3000 yards passing/ 700 rushing 20+ total tds. This was in an era before the read option. However, the following years Vick just didnt improve at all. Dude was barely throwing for over 2000 yards, having a 1:1 TD/int ratio and a QB rating in the 70s. I made excuse after excuse for him. Blamed the wrs, blamed the oline, blamed the coach, blamed Gregg Knapp (well....this excuse was valid).

I remember when that dog shyt popped off. Believed the dude was innocent or at least thought he wouldnt be dumb enough to do it at one of the house's. :snoop:

Matt Ryan goes to the Falcons and he's breaking passing records. Then it turns out that during this time when most of us were defending Vick for not playing better......dude actually wasnt studying or working hard at all. :ohhh:

His first real shot in Philly he balled the fukk out. For the first time ever Vick was living up to his potential. He only played 11 or 12 games that year. But he was on pace to throw for 4000 yards and run for 1000 :dwillhuh:

But in 2011.....he was just "average to good" . Still cant believe he didnt quiet that dream team shyt down from Vince Young :comeon:

2012 he said the Eagles could be a dynasty :mjlol: and that he will save Andy Reid's job:beli:. Season was a dumpster fire

2013 he's got the perfect offense, coach and weapons. He plays decent and gets hurt again:comeon:. Yet, Nick fukking Foles starts for the exact same squad is breaking records. :mjpls:

Now he backing up Geno Smith :wow:

When I say overrated...
He really didnt put up big #s in college either, but I assumed that was cause of the system. Maybe Vick just never really was "that good" He just is what it is. A good QB, who was never really a HOF Quarterback talent. But he's got icon status to a lot of people.

When I say disappointed...
Cause he never worked hard in ATL, but was still effective. He had the greatest combination of speed and arm strength in NFL history. I could see why people thought he could/should have been The GOAT. Vick basically could have been a faster Steve Young.

ATL…overly
As a Falcons fan who remembers that era, I would say more disappointing than anything, but I wouldn't say most disappointing ever. Even Vick at his best you still only got a glimpse into how good he could've been had he focused and put it all together

Vick is one of the most overrated QB and most disappointing talents to ever play in the NFL

From a measurables perspective, he seems to have everything you want in the "new wave" QB
a cannon for an arm added with speed

but he was his own worst nightmare because he didnt take the craft of quarterbacking seriously. Vick admitted he didnt study film most of his career and his coaches in college and ATL were probably too p*ssy to challenge him so they let him do what he wants. He relied on his athletic gifts as his primary weapon as opposed to using them as a plan B
I fail to believe he is dumb, he presents himself well and is a very articulate man

I think he failed himself and its a shame bc I like him as a person but as a QB :whoa:

Overrated on here where he's treated like a hofer but dissappointing overall..

He had amazing physical gifts he should have been better..though I do think his lack of height is an issue it's why he can move the ball at will to this day till he hits the red zone and is a turnover machine because his short ass cant see lol

Palmer was legit till the injury in the playoff game
How is he more disappointing than the likes of Vince Young, Matt Lienart, and other busts?
How is he more overrated than Matt Stafford, Jay Cutler and if i'm going back Terry Bradshaw and Joe Namath lol
