I think you're mistaking New Slaves and Black Skinhead. I'm not even into this song, thought it was the worst song on the album. And it is sampled off a traditional rock poppy ballad so it makes sense. Adding Miley is just as subversive as the title of the song, I guess. Kind of like rapping about bytches over that Strange Fruit sample. Also, Yeezus is a flop by Kanye's standard, adding Miley will definitely give it a slight boost.
Both joints are super hard.

Are you kidding me :what:

And it's not sampling anyone, specially not no damn poppy ballad (It's however co-produced by No ID, Lupe Fiasco, Mike Dean & Daft Punk), if anything it would've been death metal or something.
The only thing Miley Cyrus fans would understand about this song is that he said 300 romans and not Spartans.

And yes Yeezus was a flop, dude did no interviews, no singles, no radio, no promo except some projectors streaming a video of his big ass head rapping rapping New Slaves. The album is completely different shyt, super hard, the songs are made to break all types of popular music structures there are as far as hooks/bars, drums etc goes.. He's got enough money, acclaim and success to not give a fukk about record sales. Just observe the lyrics to his latest single and ask yourself if these are the lyrics of a nikka who gives a fukk about sales.

You're right, it doesn't sample but it sounds like Gary Glitter rock n roll, which is sonically pop stadium ballad shyt. That beat is tailor made for a pop star not a rapper and mainly the reason I hate the song. Also, it isn't about what Miley's fans will understand. He's being meta, though shallow, about putting her on the song. It will give him a boost in sales and it will get people talking because "how could he." He knows that.

The whole "no promotion" thing is the biggest lie ever. SNL isn't promoting? Projecting videos isn't promoting? Twitter isn't promoting? It's minimal but minimal promotion didn't stop Jay and it won't stop Eminem. You crazy if you think Kanye doesn't care about sales. It's all a front.

. Eminem has probably already spent millions of dollars in promoting his new single. Jay had the Samsung thing, mad interviews, commercials, magazines, large performances etc.
The only thing he didn't have was a single, but he had snippets of the beats. The main thing about not promoting your shyt or having single material is not the first week numbers. It's the following weeks.

And yes "no promotion" means little to none, like replying "I have no money" if someone asks you if you wanna go out or whatever often means that you can't afford to go out, not that you have 0 bucks. Are we in court here or do we speak freely..? He had 2-3 twitter posts announcing that he indeed had an album dropping, he performed 2 songs on SNL (which is seen by about 4 million people, about 20 times less views than All of the lights) and projecting videos at certain locations which was seen by under 1000 people. A lot of people saw it on youtube and it was one of the 2 super hard tracks he made for the album, nothing he'd capture pop fans with.

And yes it might give him a small boost in sales, but it will still damage his brand to a lot of people and Kanye is not short sighted. He just wants to push the boundries as far as they can go and get mad props for it. Pop fans don't even know what the fukk black skinhead is, they can't understand the song, they don't like the song, it's not made for them. It'll gather interest, but nothing more.

I've never seen a popstar with no musical credibility (a la JT) help a rapstar, Big Sean is even projected to move less than his last album after working with the duo Bieber & Cyrus + dating Glees star actress.

And again lol @ pop ballad, if anything it's Gary Glitters hardest song it resembles and it's essentially just the drum pattern which is a classic Heavy Metal pattern. Which together with New Slaves might be his hardest drums to date.
