damn er off post with translator was horrible had me up in their for a month testing me out as guinea pig and shyt they fixed my problem and in return made me worse food was straight trash but them nurses though

They got you lol. I went off base to get a MRI in another country and was scared as shyt with those backwards ass ways. Glad it was only an MRI with contrast. They still aint found out what was wrong, but eh.

Very true but i've been to three bases and they all suck

are we talking the way the base is ran or the area off base, cause aviano the base SUCKED when i was there. when the Libya shyt kicked off my shop was working 12s for about 2 months straight before we went to 6 on 1 off. Bad leadership an so on. But the fact that i could hop a train and go to venice or drive to slovenia for a weekend made up for alllll that.

yokosuka nex was better than zama aafes i was like when i went hell even at atsugi base.

on a side note my dumbass almost fell in the water at yokosuka cuz i wasnt paying attention

I was over there working in a ship in port during the earthquake. The whole ship started to tilt to one side. The Japanese contractors started yelling in Japanese over the loudspeakers. Me and my coworker looked at each other like . A few mins later, one of the sailors ran down to our space and was like, "all civlians have to evacuate the ship...NOW!"

We had to walk back to our hotel off base, which was like 1.5 miles of walking. The whole walk to the hotel, we're hearing tsunami sirens, people were running, because we didn't know exactly where the earthquake hit, where the tsunami threat was, etc. One of the scariest moments of my life...without a doubt.

When we finally got to the hotel, we realized we were safe from the tsunami threat.

The aftershocks the next few days tho were

A few days later, the raised nuclear radiation levels in our area has us like ...it seemed like the ordeal would never end.

They eventually sent us home because of the radiation threat and then sent us back to other side of Japan a week later to finish the job. I ended up having a four day layover in Hong Kong on the latter trip...so it kind of made up for some of the drama.

Ljubljana was my little watering hole for a good while. Club Cirkus, Top, hell even the BTC mall. Very few blacks live there so when they see a young nikka in they city they dont waste no time to see what they about. I did see this one black dude in the club one time and could tell he wasnt from aviano. chopped it up with him and he actually was a marine stationed there working in the Embassy. i had the face for like 5 minutes straight

I took the Asvab and got a 98. But because of a tatoo on my neck I cant do air force like I wanted to so I put thoughts of enlisting on the back burner. Is it worth it to get a tatoo removed to join? Plus Im 28 now so I could only join the air force as a reservist :-/ Thoughts?

I didnt study. I'm kinda book smart. The recruiter was like "You're not as dumb as you look!" He told me to finish college and come back but I school is expensive and I heard its not as easy to become an officer anymore.
