Or maybe feminism as a movement is complex and has several different forms including toxic ones. Feminism as a whole is still needed from teaching consent to encouraging women in poorer parts of the world to achieve financial independence. It's the equivalent of putting Wahhabism as the face of Islam.

oh word, interesting... ok for you and @Rawtid talk to me:

how does feminism empower us as black people dealing with a system of white supremacy that it's a necessity like yall say it is?

Black Americans exist within a white supremacist system, but our “culture” is heavily matriarchal within that system.

Feminism isn’t a generic set of ideals and principles to me, but overall empowering women without men being at the forefront, is necessary for some of us. I don’t feel I could function in America without it.

Now, that doesn’t mean men have to be slighted, but black men and women are fighting a different fight in America at this point. I don’t see how black men aren’t in more support of feminism (in some regard) considering how many were raised solely by a woman.

Some of your favorite feminists like to quote them racist.

Ida B Wells was one of the only real black feminists who checked them. She checked that bytch Elizabeth Cady Stanton and that British duchess for all to see.

Sojourner on the other hand can kick rocks and certain modern bougie ones

also Rebecca latimer Felton was the one who greenlit Wilmington

We been knew this was the hustle they've been on.

White feminism has always been about getting a shot at the white man's power. It has nothing to do with women as a whole lmao. They talk all that rah rah shyt on Twitter and almost always vote for regressive cacs in elections. 2016 proved that shyt for the whole world to see and they did it again in 2020. White women been exposed and the less black women rock with their brand of feminism the better.

Genuine black feminism is about protecting the black family and black resources from outside exploitation

There’s a coli thread on latimer Felton somewhere. Someone in the press put out a retort against her racism and they said that white people can’t stop fukking black people evidenced by all the biracials in town so she called for them all to be massacred.

here’s ida b Wells sonning lady somerset and another bytch who tried to eliminate her from journalism NPR Cookie Consent and Choices my mistake about it being Cady Stanton, although Stanton would influence Soujourner truth in a weird borderline c00ning way. Tommy Curry got the receipts on that.

Susan B and Cady Stantons racism can be googled. There’s a Brownmiller book about rape that’s very :mjpls:

edit: here’s more on that bytch Frances Willard Truth-Telling: Frances Willard and Ida B. Wells: Frances Willard and the "Race Problem"

Truth-Telling: Frances Willard and Ida B. Wells: Ida B. Wells Abroad

Ida B would’ve been called a pick me

Let me preface that this is not an attack, I would like further clarification to what you’ve said.

This argument as a whole seems dismissive of the main points brought up in this thread.

From its earliest origins feminism has been crafted by white women for white women. And specifically black feminism grew exponentially from anti-black entities working for white interests such as the CIA.

This was relatively recent only being around 50 or so years ago.

How can you tell me that feminism is a complex movements when it’s origins are doubly racist? You need to be explicit when you point out the toxic and non-toxic forms of feminism. How can we know for certain that the dominant narratives aren’t still anti-black men, for example, within modern black feminism? Sure a non-toxic deconstructed version may exist in some ambiguous inaccessible academic text somewhere in the world. But is it honest to say that form of feminism exists, although unheard of among most people, is important enough to render it a complex movement?

You appear to diminish the importance of not only the racist origins of feminism, but more specifically to the creation of black feminism. With direct interference from anti-black white actors and agents meant to destroy and disenfranchise black communities.

In the face of extraordinary claims, there needs to be extraordinary evidence. How can you say that the racist origins of black feminism is akin to a fringe movement with your “Wahhabism” example? What evidence do you have to support that claim? Why is it wrong to say that due to its racist origins black feminism is an inherently toxic movement? Are you saying that feminism as a whole, particularly black feminism, has seemingly evolved independently from its racist origins to the point where the evidence presented in this thread reflects an extreme subset of feminism? Because to me it seems as though it is the dominant form. If non-toxic forms exist and are indeed dominant - you need to be explicit and clear.

Consent practices subjective in many cultures - like it or not feminism as it exists today reflects white Europeans standards and culture. And financial independence reflects neoliberalism and capitalism. Your two examples alone can be shown to reflect toxic ideals when deconstructed.

Doesn't this say more about black people than anything? Collectively, Why are black people so susceptible to believe white and swayed by propoganda?

Supreme Court said black people can have the rights legally eroded by the government and people are worried about the opinions of females.
