Some kind of global cataclysm happened in the not too distant past (maybe the last ice age) that wiped most civilization off the planet. The stories most cultures have in regards to some disaster, traces of ancient & advanced that have been discovered all point to some event that happened in history where humans had to start over basically.

I think it was global bruh. There's traces of advanced cities across the globe that have been under the ocean & have been there since the last ice age. We're talking at least 6,000+ years old fam.
