Our dental record, irisi patterns and fingerprints are more unique to us than our DNA. Our digital fingerprints are arguably more unique to ourselves than DNA. We readily give always this data on a daily basis. If someone wanted your DNA, they just need to go in your garbage, follow you a restaurant and wait until you touch/drink from something.

They anonymize your DNA as part of their analysis procedure. The video below explains some of it. But that's almost irrelevant. Because almost every human earth is a 5th or 6th cousin of one another, it doesn't taks much to identify or track down people who haven't taken DNA.
