Yeah, but she died due to the complications of ascites, not liver failure. She could barely get good medical care. Sad, cause their is proven treatment that would have prevented her death.

The majority of her death is on him. It's not her responsibility to not be beat by her. Did you miss the part where hes beating a women with an illness? I've grown up in a household like this and seen a lot of them like it in my line of work. It's not as simple for the woman to just leave. I'm not suggesting he should be charged for murder or anything like that but he should live with the fact that he's a large reason for her not being here right now. And I would bet my own life that this woman wouldn't have consumed half the alcohol she did if it wasn't for him.
