Has there ever been a game that wasn't bad where the developer didn't allow anyone to play it before release and the publisher didn't send out review code at all?

You don't have to personally play it to recognize signs the game is bad. If your kid tried to hide their report card from you how do you know they got a bad grade in school?

Edit just saw the IGN review. Got a 4. From what I'm gathering the "open world" is pointless. Seems like the game should have been all cutscenes into missions.
