Just got them in....here is my quick review as promised.

:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

first off...these are hands down the best $100 headphones of all times....blows everything in its price range and above out of the water.

Pros:

-Amazing sound quality (easily surpasses the beat studios...its not even close :wow:)

-Bass is just right

-Mids/Highs/Lows...everything can be heard, nothing is sacrificed.

-Awesome isolation

Cons:

-Gets kinda uncomfortable to wear after awhile...

-Wish it came with a hard case instead of a bag/pouch

Cop these immediately...believe the hype on this one brehs. :blessed: but one thing to note...there is a difference between the m50 and m50s....the m50 has a coiled cord and the m50s has the straight one so choose carefully.

These are meant as monitor headphones. So they have a true and flat response. I use em, love em

yeah i produce, so these are perfect monitors. i would have paid $200+ for these but at $104 they were a steal.

i should have bought the coiled version but the length of the straight cable is hard to pass up. I can move around my room with these things still plugged in...not that i would but its good to have.

I already have Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro and Grado SR60 with long cables, so this coiled one was good for me because it makes the headphones more portable.

Only complaint I really have with the m50s is the comfort.

After I got the Beyerdynamic 990s I could never really keep the m50s on for an extended period of time. The Beyers are like having pillows on your ears.

They're not the best $100 phones nor do they have a flat response.

But they are good if you're stepping up from Beats and Skullcandy.

Daps regadless because of the previous thread and this follow up thread. :salute:

Could i throw my 2 cents in here though ....:yeshrug:

I didn't know you wanted MONITOR headphones for mixing. There is nothing wrong with having these for mixing. But IMO like a cheap 30-40 pair will due. I mean once again just my opinon people have their own way when mixing and producing.

I would take that extra moiney and put it towards better monitor grade speakers (not saying you don't have them already) People going to be listeing with shytty skullcandys or beats or whatevers anyways. I (used too) mix with monitor speakers and have headphones to compliment. I would take the final mix then play it car, earphones, computer you get my point.

to be fair their frequency response isn't perfectly flat.

they are still very high quality headphones for the price point. I'm not sure what other 100$ headphones out there are better though :yeshrug: Maybe the Sony's they made us use in engineering school.

I had these and a pair of V-Moda M80s...kept the m80s. M80 was more portable and comfortable
