It's $15 here in New York.
7.25 is too low for any state, but I understand why lower cost of living states would have lower minimum wages. I think $10 would be reasonable to ask for at least.

Minimum wage will never win tho. In Seattle it’s $15, but then like a McChicken is around $3.50. Just poor people making more to have to spend more

That's the federal minimum. Usually states will decide which is usually more.

I think its mostly southern states that use fed minimum wage. Not all southern states, of course

Yeah it is federally meaning the least they can pay. But the states have the final say in how much they will pay above minimum wage.

So for example in a poor state like Mississippi most low paying jobs always go by the minimum wage. So for them it hasn't changed since 2010.
