Did an episode of my podcast on this situation. I've mentioned before but I grew up in South Minneapolis and in that specific neighborhood. I have my pops as a guest and he has been an organizer and activist in MPLS for 30 some years and is in the midst of this organizing and planning protests. He's a real one with real bonafides. Even has a blog called fightthepowerjournal.com and is the editor of the Spokesman which is the black paper in Minneapolis. He's basically Furious Styles is what I'm saying. Anyways, check it out if you're interested.

It basically is.

I'm talking about the neighborhood and who shops there. That is the Target where majority black folks most likely get their medicine from the pharmacy or essential groceries everyday. shyt is gone now. Along with the jobs of those who worked there.

While Karen uptown still strolling down to her local Target that's still open with not a single broken glass in sight. No disruption to her everyday life.

You will command way more attention destroying those businesses in those neighborhoods

Cops were basically :yeshrug: because it was a black neighborhood. The response would've been way different had they fukked shyt up in the white neighborhoods.

Which store you think Target Corp would be more concerned about burning down?

:stopitslime:

Nothing but a bunch of babble. The message is being sent loud and clear with the busted police cars and police stations. They know what comes after that...

Both sides of the looting argument are right, neither side is morally superior than the other.

But here is the deal. After the 1992 LA riots a lot of those businesses never came back........

A lot of these places are not coming back, especially now when they might have been going out of business due to COVID. Im sure Minneapolis will be fine, but the area they destroyed, was definitely used by a lot of people. It is what it is :manny:

And the citizens of that area chose they didnt want the stores anymore. Our opinion dont mean shyt, Let the Twin Cities do what they want and we worry about our own shyt :yeshrug:

no the “what purpose to looting do/you’re only hurting yourself” is always wrong
