The kind of guns these guys are packing, honestly i think armed security would be too expensive for most schools, they'd need a whole squad at least cause a shooter could get the jump on one pretty easy, two if he plans meticulously, or just got fast reflexes., , he might end up having extra weapons to pick up on top of that. I say police patrols will probably have to go up but from what I see a lot of jurisdictions struggling with recruiting.

Police wont do shyt but call for back up when its too late. Schools need to up their security once that bell rings. Locked facilities with bullet proof glass should be the bare minimum. no one should be able to waltz right in when class is in session
