You know what I hate about people like you is you pick and choose the type of science you want to believe in. Discredit scientists that have spent their entire lives researching a field because you read a random Wikipedia article. Please take your opinion to a YouTube page where they also talk about fake moon landings and the earth being flat. I grew up in Chicago. I have had people from places like Canada and Minnesota tell me that winds off of Lake Michigan makes Chicago feel colder than where they were from in Canada and Minnesota.
