dude straight laughed at me, I have no idea how people chose to live in any area where it gets below 20 degrees.

To be fair, Minnesota at least has the infrastructure to deal with its own climate. The roads don't close unless it's like a foot of snow and the airport never fukking closes.

In Houston there's at least one hurricane/tropical storm a year and they don't do shyt to protect against it. The city govt really be like "Well who could've seen another hurricane coming, this is only the gulf of Mexico after all "

I've felt negative temps before and it was so cold that my body couldn't register a difference from say........15 degrees. I wasn't even bundled up. It's dangerously cold no doubt but I don't know if the body can process how cold that should FEEL.

Yep that how I felt about it when I experienced in New York. Though like breh said, once that wind kicks in, you feel that shyt to your bone, otherwise I couldn't tell the difference between the two That's what happened when I walked around Manhattan. It's like the tall buildings funnel all the wind down the streets. I think if there is a difference, its that really cold temps suck all the moisture out the air. It's like a dry cut to the bone chill. All the moisture that would be in the air gets turned to ice and settles on the ground I guess because its so damn cold.
