That show was "lost"...Anything could happen, because the writers just didn't know what they were doing...

They tried to do everything without even connecting the dots between the science, religion and supernatural and other themes they were playing with...

I believe the writers just had NO clue as to where they wanted the story to end up...

they had general ideas of where they wanted to take the show each season... wasn't till they agreed on the 6 seasons total that they could start to fill the gaps. overall shyt was epic though cuzz... and the constant was the definite high point of the show... and TV in general
