No. He draws for them.
This cartoon was published in Liberté which is an Algerian newspaper. Proof : http://www.liberte-algerie.com/dilem. Look on the bottom right.

I'm not Mr. Know it all but I did my googles to know where it came from instead of just copy/pasting from somewhere where they didn't do it then cry outrage. Source is above.

is there proof they really printed that?[...]
There is none because they didn't.

Title : Hundreds of casualties in a new shipwreck
- You wanna cross the Mediterranean sea and you can't swim ?
- Nah but to the water (wordplay for "Nah but seriously ?")

There is a wordplay which is can be understood only by French/french-speaking Maghrebi people :
"Allo quoi" is a gimmick phrase that a woman called Nabilla Benattia (who's a french reality tv "star") popularized meant to be a sarcastic "are you serious ?". The wordplay here is between "allo" ("hello" when answering the telephone see further) and "à l'eau" (literally "to the water"). The "quoi" here should be translated into a sarcastic "seriously".

Here is the source when she said it (it's about a woman she shopping with and she doesn't have a shampoo and then Ms Benattia goes "you're a woman and you don't have shampoo at home, seriously ? seriously ? (allo quoi.., allo)")

Title : Rescue in the Mediterranean see

Title : Memorial for the May 8th 1945 massacres, a French Minister in Sétif
- How did that happen ?! (says the French minister while facing graves)

Little context :
When the WWII ended on May 8th 1945, Algeria was still a French colony.

The Allies victory pushed Algerians to celebrate and in some cities (like Sétif) some also rallied for independance. In Sétif specifically, Algerians (under the French rule) were authorized to rally only if there was nothing pro-independence and no other flags held than the French one. Which didn't happen and at some moment there was an Algerian flag hold by somebody in the march. A French policeman tried to take it from one of the marching Algerian but got beat up. Some French policeman which was near opened fired on the manifestation and killed the Algerian man that was holding the flag and possibly others

This triggered riots in this city and Algerians then targeted "Europeans" there to kill them. Those riots expanded mostly in the East of Algeria. On May 11th (3 days since the beginning), De Gaulle called for the French Army/Navy/Air Force to intervene and they did. Quite violently :merchant: Until the 22nd they killed, arrested, massacred, bombed, executed blindly any Algerian or any town that was supposed to be pro-independence.

Officially, the French army killed a thousand Algerians and the riots killed a hundred "Europeans". But the number of massacred Algerians is more between 10K and 15K even if the Algerian inflated this number to 50K (for propaganda purposes). That is the Setif Massacres :ld:

Breh, let's end this right here about this cartoon because you're wrong for two reasons :
- You have no evidence of it being published in Charlie Hebdo (because there is none)
- I have evidence of it not being published on Charlie Hebdo (because it wasn't)

This specific cartoon was published in Liberté on the issue #6899 on Sunday the 19th, which is a fact.
The first shipwrecks in April happened on the 13th so because I don't wanna talk shyt I downloaded the last three issues of Charlie Hebdo (#1185 on the 8th (in case Dilem is somehow clairvoyant and predicted it), #1186 on the 15th and #1187 on the 22nd). In none of this issue this cartoon happened. None. And that is also a fact.
You can discuss it anyway you want, Charlie Hebdo has nothing to do with this cartoon. Deal with it.

That Dilem draws for both doesn't matter and wasn't even in the discussion : his cartoons don't do any cross over and what he draws for Liberté aren't published on Charlie Hebdo and vice versa. Now, I will locked this thread which is misleading but I'll wait a little in case anybody want to add on this proven false statement.

Dilem is a known Algerian caricaturist who often mocks Algerian politics/society. He's been working with Charlie Hebdo for the last 2 months but I don't think it's been published there. Either way, it's very distateful and shameful.
