Guy went into hiding, but here's the crazy thing. There's a rumor he might have been involved in several Western rockets blowing up around the time; including the space shuttle Challenger. :dahell:

Air Force officer missing for 35 years found living in California - CNN

The reason I bring this up is I was a kid at the time and I remember my dad (who was in the military) said there was rumor going around that the space shuttle had been sabotaged by the Russians and that leadership was trying to shut down the rumors. :ohhh:

EDIT: yo read the original 1986 article about the rumor. All 3 rockets that blew up were carrying spy satellites. :ohhh: I think Beretta did that shyt http://articles.latimes.com/1986-07-06/opinion/op-23298_1_u-s-air-force

challenger went down because of o-rings not being able to withstand cold temperature. engineers knew about it, tried to get nasa to delay launch for warmer weather but administrators ignored the warnings. couple of the guys from the team went to their death with guilt.

I don't believe this guy was hiding in plain sight for 35 years. That's a very specific length of time. Two, he's an intel asset so they had to have leads for tracking him down. Was someone sitting on a file that was declassified?

that sounds plausible. maybe blackops, ghost, or some other intelligence assignment during that time

Wild.
If he really did have anything to do w/ the Challenger sabotage, give him life.

shyt is crazy.

Imagine if we find out this dude was a Russian agent and responsible for the Challenger exploding. :ohhh:

It's some shyt you'd clown a conspiracy theorist about but shyt is possibly actually true:ohhh::ohhh:

Yup, that's crazy as fukk

So basically, the CIA thought this guy who wrote the original 1986 article Tad Szulc was a Russian agent speading disinformation...the 80s were WILD :whoo:

There were a LOT of recorded videos of the craft prior to the launch exhausting coolant from those rings, but they didn't get released until well after the disaster happened. Think there was an entire documentary about it a while back. No way should that craft have been allowed to lift-off with known (and documented) mechanical issues that ultimately proved hazardous beyond belief.
