Mission impossible is honestly a flawless franchise
with the exception, MAYBE being #2, i blame John Woo for that.

Ii feel that John Woo tried to bring it in a Kung-fu direction and forgot this was a series about espionage. The fights and sequences in II, do however make up for what the film lacks in intensity and character growth.

III made us forget II even existed and picked up the Mission impossible feeling from 1 and did the 40 yard dash with it.

Im watching all the new ones as we speak and they're just status. not corny, not cliched, not tripe.

MI 2 > MI 3 but yeah Bourne sullied their rep with everything after the Bourne Ultimatum while the MI series just gets better and better. Plus Tom Cruise > Matt Damon.

Bourne had 3 straight classics, you almost forget whay happen in MI2 and 3

I wouldn’t call MI a flawless franchise by any means but yeah I fukk with that over the Bourne series. I’d sit down with 1,4,5,6 before any Bourne movie. But the MI series can be more fantastical and have wilder shyt in it.

Boring lead and making the villains have a personal connection to Bond/MI6 is corny.
