At this point is anyone surprised when he drives off a mountain and parachutes down? Or when he jumps from plane to plane?

It’s hard for me to see someone like Cruise, who’s entering his Old Man Newman half of his career but is still very much a leading man, take a backseat role for something like that. Wake me up when that happens.

The studio would essentially be paying an actor of his caliber to just poke in with the new crew via FaceTime or meet up outside of rendezvous points. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
