Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
As someone that's spent a considerable amount of my adult life in both, I'll give my perspective.

My quality of life has always been better when I lived in a "red" state.

I was a renter in a Blue state. In a Red state I was able to own property with my mortgage being less than what my rent previously.

My taxes are always lower when I live in a red states. So I generally get to keep more of what I earned.

Even things like getting my car registered and passing safety and emissions is much easier when I live in red states. Less regulations.

The majority of all the nations HBCUs are in red states. So if you want to live and raise your family among Black professionals it's often a better option.

Gas prices are cheaper in red states.

I feel generally safer in red states because I'm able to arm myself without fear of catching a felony.

The food, women and weather are more culturally aligned with what I enjoy.

Regardless of race. The people are nicer and more community oriented in red states.

The downside of living in some red states are regressive cannabis laws, liquor stores being closed on Sundays, and in some case's insurance premiums have been higher (the downside of more lax regulations). And the pro Amerikkka pro Jesus rhetoric can be annoying especially if you weren't raised around it. And they be having snakes and terrible storms which I hate.

It all comes down to what you value.
It’s cheaper cause red states can’t afford to charge you more.

Do you ever sit back and ask yourself why the poverty rates are so high?

What abouy infrastructure? What about wages? The type of jobs? Regulations in environment and food?
My wages are the same . And even if it was less, the cost of living evens it all out.

Infrastructure is the same minus public transportation (which is huge for some folks)

Type of jobs varies. For example Raleigh Durham is great for tech and medical. Anywhere with colleges and a decent metro area is good for service industry jobs.

Regulation in the environment is much more lax in red states. The whole time in DC we had to have recycling bins. When I moved back down South and asked the sanitation department if we needed them here they laughed at me.

Regulations in food? I don't know honestly.

Atlanta is not red

Neither is Birmingham

So basically you like living in blue cities in red states.
I think it's nice to have cultural options. Some weekends I wanna take my son hunting or fishing. Some weekends I want to take my wife to an art show or roof top bar.

North Carolina has a really good balance
Do you ever sit back and ask yourself why the poverty rates are so high?
No I don't. What are the poverty rates in Haiti?

So your QOL wouldn’t of been as high if those blue cities didn’t have a good paying job for you
That's not true in my case. I work for a company that's been outsourced to India and I can do my job from a laptop in Fairbanks, Alaska if I want.

But look. If your goal is to motivate all Black people in Northern and Coastal cities from moving down South I suppport you. Trust me. We don't want y'all nikkas here just as much as you don't want to be here.

I seen first hand how you ruined the beauty of the Atlanta suburbs.
