I'm learning...guess I've been lucky to live places most of my life where this was never a worry. :wow:

Even 15 years ago they would stomp out your J, cuff you, put you in the backseat, run your ID to see if you had warrants, and if you came up clean you were good to go.

Only time they'd even take you to the station is if you were DUI or there was other shyt involved. Guns, pills, etc. :ufdup::ufdup:

Otherwise so long as you stayed stay calm, cool and collected, didn't pop shyt :birdman:, didn't lie, and didn''t get all lawyerly while stoned as fukk :mjlol::mjlol:, you were good.

What happened to Bernard...:huhldup::huhldup:
Most people in prison are in there for drug related and non violent crimes. This is a fact. Don't listen to bullshyt rhetoric. Your earlier posts incensed me but I kept reading them before I responded and appreciate you accepting opinions of others to a point that you recognized that things might not be how you thought they were. That's grown man shyt breh.

@panopticon
Thanks for responding. Could you be a dear and answer my last question?

I don't know if hard, outdoors farm work would be harsher than the current prison system we have.

I know for a fact I would lose my mind in the places they show on Locked Up, etc.

All there is to do is fight, scheme, steal from one another, gamble, do drugs, and try to survive. Shyt is toxic.

There's nothing rehabilitative about the current prison system. Nobody is developing any real-world skills they'll be able to apply when they're released.

Bustin your ass on a farm on a daily basis will at least help a man develop the discipline he needs to tackle challenges in the free world without breaking the law. :manny:

Not to mention the improved nutrition and exposure to sunlight might help reverse some underlying health issues that have affected a man's decision-making capacity.

There's also the added component here of assuaging victims of crime and those who fear criminals (aka people who vote) - you're more likely to win support of improved prisoner education, psychological services, and re-entry programs if your average voter sees that prisoners have to bust ass picking lettuce and milking cows while they're in :francis:

Whites always are devastated when they lose their slaves.

The prisoners have value beyond the per diem, county officials add, when they can be put to work. State prisoners do garbage pickup, lawn maintenance and other manual labor that taxpayers would otherwise have to pay for. Convict labor has made it easier for local governments to absorb never-ending cuts in state funding, as tea party legislators and governors slash budgets in the name of conservative government.

THIS IS SLAVERY YALL. It was NEVER abolished.
