They really like going backwards in this country. I thought for sure that progress was being made when growing up in the 80s. I had some very close white friends, like close enough that we had free reign in each other's house. Reaching back out to some of them some yrs back I noticed a lot of them are full blown racist and MAGA. I wondered how that happened.

It really depends on who's perspective about moving backwards. Things were in place because they were required to or at least appear. Now with the current political climate and laws being changed, they are removing what they felt obligated to do. What we should be talking about is how easy it is for them to remove stuff like black history with little to no obstacles.
