yeah that was tough, but overall he was great. This team's passing game is poor, but he got the steal on curry, a steal in transition on Moody, attacked the basket for a GSW goaltend, a nice assist to wemby, and thats all i can think of in the clutch off the top of my head.

I just don't see how u blame foxfor this loss. hell, castle has been turning it over all season. Fox is just the whipping boy
Steph is in his second year, forced into a PG role due to injury.

Fox is a perennial all star that doesn’t that slack.

And just as much blame goes on Mitch ‘cause that mf is one of the worst coaches I’ve ever seen with play calls comin outta timeouts.

He’s been mostly trash since he came back, was singlehandedly letting this game slip away and this wasn’t the moment to let him “reclaim his game.”

Give it to Wemby and ride or die with him. Fukkit.
Fox has been good overall outside of the last Warriors game. I mean Vic got stripped down the stretch but Fox saved them in transition.

It's like if Fox isn't perfect, he gets the wrath of the fans. Vassell and Barnes were underwhelming, and Castle had the same number of TOs with fewer assists :manny: . Keldon, Sochan and Kornet were non-factors

I'm not singling Fox for this loss. He was their second best guy tonight.

that's the thing. Castle still handles the ball a TON. More than Fox, and Fox is the natural PG

Fox is a 1-time all-star, nearly 3 seasons ago. He's overall a great get for San Antonio. Honestly, there's just so much dead weight on the roster right now. Sochan's 1st half minutes were so abysmal. Kornet wasnt as effective as he normally is for this team. Vic and Fox were carrying tbh

My bad. I should clarify all-NBA level talent, not routine All-Star playing in SAC for so many years.

I still maintain Fox should be wildly better and more composed down the stretch in the 12th game of the reg season at home.

And the lack of production from the others is just as much about Mitch’s inability as it is the player’s struggling.

yeah, he should be better, and he will be. But the same grace we are giving to Castle, we gotta give to fox. This is his 4th game back. he's only gonna get better. We're getting prominent talent on this team.

Cooled off — you right. :pachaha:

I just hate GS and really didn’t wanna drop a second straight to ‘em. ‘Specially after that Wemby/Dray tussle.

Edit: tho I’m still gonna insist that Fox was playing some hero ball down the stretch and there HAD to be a better decision for that last shot that he shoulda made, despite the time off.

Mitch got outcoached again

Didn't call a single set play in the 4th quarter and has he ever called a great play out of a timeout?

They need to play Sochan more. Lineup with Vic/Castle/Jeremy got them to a 10 point lead and Mitch never went back to it

Keldon :camby:

We get no respect from the refs right now either

Problem is there aren't really one on one defenders when you play Golden St. You play through so many screens that you never end up on who you're supposed to. Then it comes down to rotational defense. Curry had Sochan dancing a couple of times when he guarded him as well. It's just one of those nights (well, two) when facing a scorer like Curry. And while Sochan did make another 3, he hesitated on a couple of interior shots that should have been easy buckets.

The difference in this game (and on Wednesday) was the "others" for Curry made most of their open shots. Champ finally started making his 3s again, but we had some untimely wide-open misses from 3 that could have either blown the game open or quelled one of the GS runs.

I'm not stressing on Fox too much (although man it looked like the lob was there when he took that final shot). He's still figuring out his role on the offense. I did notice Castle's man cheating off into the paint (we give Sochan a lot of shyt, but Castle's issues from three do create some spacing issues).

While it sucks we failed these two tests against a title contender (as long as Curry laces em up, GS has a chance at a title), we have another 4-5 easy games ahead to build a cushion to work with before the schedule gets much more difficult.

I do think the Warriors have a legit shot at a championship this year.

@Gil Scott-Heroin might feel like their window is closed. I agree in terms of a dynasty. But stealing 1 last title before it’s TRULY ugly for Golden State isn’t entirely off the table this season.

Though I will say they’ll likely need OKC to run into some injuries for that door to open a bit wider.
