:mjlol:

i remember that. man you know price got roasted in the locker room lol. straight pulled the old dad vs son trick on him.

I was definitely blessed to be able to watch him play live over the 80s/90s. There's a reason why he's considered the GOAT.

This thread actually downplays Jordan.

You can't ask players of any era to "step up" and get a mid range game becaUse Michael did it.

He's michael Jordan. No one else was as remotely good at it. He was an abnormality. Niqqas could step up 1000 flights of stairs and still won't reach him.

It's simply harder to get off a mid range shot amongst the tall trees of today's NBA where the court dimensions haven't changed since the inception of the game

I think it's a little of both. Mj def was flawless at it cuz of his athleticism and strength, not to mention his big hands and wicked first step. But he worked at it. God knows how many fadeaways he prolly did to perfect it. That first step is key though. And being able to finish left/right means you're either giving him the step to the lane or you're a step back and he hittin that j. It's unstoppable.

I think if today's nba guards took it serious enough it can be at least effective. But it requires proficiency at basically every facet of scoring to make a midrange game deadly.

Mj=strong, fast, big hands, can drive/finish left/right, can shoot either fadeaway, step back, step forward. Too many options to cover.

Smh.

I feel bad for those who didn't get to watch mj in real time. Like how good he really was. And his competitiveness too. I don't think there's a bigger a$$hole when it comes to wanting to win than mj.

Man ain't nobody talkin bout curry. Curry a great shooter. That's about where it stops. Curry need to worry about keepin his toothpick ankles together.

A great shooter, elite finisher at the rim, elite handles, elite playmaker. Yeah.

Curry is a great shooter no doubt. He's had an amazing year. But ain't nobody talkin bout curry in here. Mj won 10 scoring titles, highest nba finals ppg, 6 finals mvps 5 regular mvps and a nba dpoy among other things. He didn't need screens or moving picks. His midrange game was unguardable, on top of being able to finish at the rim with both hands. Like someone else said curry ain't even win finals mvp last year.

Curry doesn't need screens though. He has arguably the GOAT handles, he can get off a shot at anytime. Tf are you talking about?

Chris Paul and Dirk's mid range games are godly. LMA also has a great mid range game. Kobe, KG, Duncan mastered it too.

Jordan is goat because of his Hangtime/body control and creativity to finish layups at the rim through defenses in anyway possible. No player has done this like him. :wow:

:manny:

You're right.

Blessed that I've seen these real time :blessed:
