Igoudala would be a monster in the 80s. As good as he is defensively, imagine if he was allowed to handcheck the less athletic wings back then.

CP3 would get that work

18 and 9 nikkas like Sam Cassell was seen as second rate pg in that era

Not to mention with the hits they they delivered back then he would constantly be injured

When you made that comment, did you vomit a little as you clicked "submit reply" ?

why wouldnt KG be able to play in his era?

He "could" play, but K.G like players grew on tree's back then :manny:
Seemed like everybody had a decent J back then (mid range which is considered a lost art today)

Also, K.G. is known for his trash talk getting under the skin of todays players who in tern get all homotional
That shyt wouldn't be as impactful in that era since it was allowed more
And lets be real, Charles Oakley would stuff Garnett in his locker.
He would literally fold that nikka up and try to pack him in his suitcase :heh:

idk about this. Those guys could hit jumpshots back then and the game was a much faster pace.

A nikka like Anthony Mason would've been caught KG's fade

Iggy struggles to score in this era, so he'd be a single digit scorer in those days imo. Clyde would glide right past him like it was nuthin :yeshrug:

No he didn't bruh. Did he play while Jordashe was still playing, sure
But you wouldn't put them in the same "era", K.G was one of the guys Jordan passed the torch too. When Jordan left the big question was "Can the NBA survive"
As for who? Come on man, that shyt would take too long. Are you trying to say that skilled big men didn't grow on tree's back then?
Part of the reason KG even looks as good as he does is because he's a throw-back "type" of player. Back then they were more lean, agile, KG like
But it wasn't "special", it was the norm. Its not anymore hence why K.G is teh superstar that he is today.
You know how to shut KG down tho? Get in his shyt, he doesn't respond well to rough house tactics. When he does get handled, he then tries to get in your head via the trash talk. I've watched Andray Blatche routinely abuse K.G. but to be fair, KG isn't in his prime anymore. Prime KG, or if KG was born and played in that era he "might" of adjusted his game. But this era KG would be too soft imo.
And thats basically Jordan's point, the game is soft, so the players are soft and couldn't compete with his era. This isn't news :manny:

Right now, from the 2013 NBA All Star Game, here are the players imo that could play in MJ's era from 1984 to 1998 effectively and to the level they are playing in today's game:
Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Parker, Melo, Duncan, KG, Aldridge, Z-Bo, Paul, and that really might be it imo. Everyone else, like a Noah, Lopez, I would probably be bench warmers trying to go up against the Hakeem's, Shaq, even an older Kareem. I'm not sure of the scoring point guards like Westbrook, Kyrie, Holiday, etc. would do against Isiah, Magic, Stockton, Payton, etc. They would get that work imo. And the other wings in this year's All Star Game just wouldn't hang with Jordan, Bird, Pippen, Drexler. This year's Wade is nowhere as good as the old D-Wade, but the old D-Wade could definitely hang and be as good as the other wing players. James Harden I wouldn't be too sure about, but he could be like maybe an Alex English type of scorer maybe? I'm not completely sold on his defense, plus he is what 6'4-6'5ish? Jordan does have a point imo.

Im not sold on Durant. The game was way more physical, he wouldn't get all those calls he gets today, he would get bodied in the post.. I dont know. I dont believe that he would have the same impact as today
