It's amazing how much we invest emotionally into what they do or don't do, or say or won't say. People will literally boycott them in their professions if they don't share their opinions or won't do what they want them to do outside of sports.

Anyway, I took "his community" as meaning Akron. I don't think some people understand--MJ ain't from the ghetto anyway, neither is Kobe. To hold them to a standard of "giving back" like Lebron, doesn't make sense to me.
