Popovich said Leonard deserves consideration for Defensive Player of the Year, but don't expect the veteran coach to lobby for his 6-foot-7 forward.

''We don't beg for awards or give estimations or that sort of thing,'' Popovich said. ''We never have, we never will. We won't send out any chemistry sets for the All-Star Game or anything like that.''

According to head coach Gregg Popovich, Manu Ginobili (ankle) could miss anywhere from 7-10 days, and he was spotted leaving the locker room with crutches.

This is a tough blow for the Spurs, and it sounds like the earliest he will come back is on Mar. 22 vs. the Hawks, meaning he would miss at least three games. We will update Ginobili's status if we find out more, but owners in competitive leagues should consider looking elsewhere for production. Danny Green, Marco Belinelli, Cory Joseph and Patty Mills should all be in the mix for additional minutes.

It's nice to see Cory Joseph turning into a good complete back up PG I have to say I thought he would be just a defensive minded point(P Beverly type cat) and his growth has been a pleasant surprise this year and we need Patty Cake to look like Patty Cake before the playoffs start
