dude is 43, and has 26 points in 34 games
yup... struggled against Switzerland... lost to USA (who seem to have more potential stars this year, not just because of Auston either)
and while Matthews has kinda proved that he's worth the hype, Laine & Puljujarvi are really making the case for being top 5 draft picks... both 17 & have dominated in every game, even when they lost to Russia...Puljujarvi is more versatile and a better skater but Laine's shooting ability is honestly already comparable to Tarasenko/Ovy/Nash/Perry anyone on that level... and I'm honestly not exaggerating.
their whole line has been amazing for the past few games (Florida has really improved as a team too tbh) but... Jagr, Barkov & Huberdeau... it's really amazing how good Jagr still is. He's been an all star longer than his line mates have been alive
also, just going by WJC, Carolina really do have a potential star in Sebastian Aho (35th draft pick, looking like a young Datsuyk in this tournament so far...) (aight, this probably is a exaggeration.... ) but he's playing next to 2 players who are more than likely gonna be quality players/top draft picks

Yeah, folks here take this WJC shyt way too seriously and overrate the hell out of it. So many great players in the NHL never played in the World Juniors, meanwhile alot of the players that do play in it go on to become 3rd/4th liners or career minor leaguers.
Got tix to see Stars-Rangers at MSG on Tuesday
