So I played ice hockey for the first time in years last night. Plenty of wayward passes, shots missing the net by a mile, winded after every shift.

I used to play on a team until I was 13. I was a good player, not a star but a solid 2nd line centre. My parents got sick of paying for the equipment and I stuck to soccer and basketball afterwards. The cism was also a deciding factor in me quitting hockey as well.

I still remember the day I told my dad I wanted to quit hockey for basketball. He was so overjoyed that he wouldn't have to pay for expensive equipment and watch my games in cold ass arenas anymore.

i was , was like paul coffey out there on d bringing the puck up deking out 3,4 guys. I was on the select team but our team would get entered into tournaments and lose like 10-1 and ish against ddes 3-5 years older than us . I quit and picked up basketball , should have stuck in hockey. Hockey was still and to me is still the most fun sport to play
