If both were on basic over the air channels or both on cable this would be an accomplishment but that wasn't the case.

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
um baseball was on fox
compared to football on espn

the biggest markets usually for monday night football are those teams respective cities.
considering the majority of that crime ridden st louis was at the game or watching the game, of course the ratings would be low, and considering in seattle the game started at likr 530

I LOVE this place, I really do. Baseball loses to the NFL damn near every single time, regardless of the circumstances. NFL is BY FAR the most popular sport in this country. Yet we have 2 straight games where Baseball wins, and all if a sudden it's "oh, we really comparing the World Series to a Regular Season game"?

It's "Baseball is Dying" when the NFL beats them, and it's "oh, we really getting excited over a Regular Season Game vs. The Postseason" when Baseball wins. Gotta love that #ColiLogic. It's good for some laughs, that's for sure.

I agree that the whole sport vs. sport thing is silly. However if you are gonna indulge in it it doesn't really bode well for one side when it takes crucial games in a championship series to beat a rather underwhelming regular season contest in the other sport. It's really unfair to compare baseball, or any sport in America for that matter to football. Anybody riding for the opposition is just gonna end up looking silly.
